Yella Belly - The Long Haul

We have added the song The Long Haul to our Spotify playlist Best Indie Country 2020.

Equal parts Texas grit and New York grime, Yella Belly is a feeling set to a rebellious holler, a firecracker spark in a world on fire, a bunch of soft boys making music for a hard world. After wandering the New York City music scene, the fellas found themselves writing together in 2019 by way of their previous bands Elliot & The Ghost, Oh Malo, and Queue. The group brings together their rock roots and lust for infectious riffs both live and in the recordings. Within a few weeks of forming, the band was invited as direct support for Johnny Marr of The Smiths on the Call The Comet 2019 U.S. Tour. The tour would serve as the band’s very first live performances.

Yella Belly has since toured and shared stages with Black Joe Lewis, Eighty Ninety, Love Fame Tragedy (The Wombats), amongst others, and is currently at work in the studio for the next release in their series of AA-side singles, due out in 2020.

Yella Belly is singer/guitarist William Thompson, bassist Connor Jones, drummer Steve Vannelli, guitarist Jack McLoughlin and keyboardist Patrick Carr. Yella Belly’s up-to-date releases, in the form of double-sided singles include ‘Bad Dog / Last Days’ and ‘The Long Haul / Mean ol’ Mama’ and are out now on the Yella Belly LGC imprint.
