Jonas and Jane - Hold Me
On our Spotify playlist Best Indie Country 2018 we have included the song Hold Me by the duo Jonas and Jane.
From their website we learn that Jonas and Jane are an Americana Duo from the UK who consist of harmony driven and bluegrass influenced folk. They have toured Texas, Colorado and Arizona and have played many UK festivals including the main stage and second stage at Beverley Folk Festival 2017, Noshville 2017, Beer and Bluegrass 2016 & 2017, two stages at Maverick Americana Festival in 2015 and the main stage at Carfest South 2015 to over 35,000 people, following a live performance of their song ‘Whispered’ on the Chris Evans BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show in August 2015.
The duo gets very nice reviews:
"Brilliant! Some serious tricky finger picking!"
Chris Evans, BBC Radio 2
"Absolutely beautiful, right up my street. They are superb."
Steve Cherelle, BBC Essex
At RockingMagpie we can read this about Jonas and Jane's EP Sedona Rain: "There really is so much to like here; and not just the two fabulous voices (both separate and in harmony) as the intricate guitar picking, Dobro, double-bass, banjo etc. is also from the couple themselves; and their songwriting is rather special too; with the single Don’t Cry For Me being the type of bittersweet break-up song you’d associate with the Civil Wars or even Emmylou and Rodney if I’m not mistaken in the way they squeeze every drop of emotion out of every word and note."
The song Hold Me is a lovely acoustic song with heavenly vocals and superb instrumentation. A small masterpiece there.
